THE organisers of the highly publicised dancehall extravaganza dubbed Sting Dancehall Fiesta said the show will go ahead despite the postponement of a fight between local boxer, Tapiwa Tembo and Zambian Gibon Kamota that was scheduled to go along with the gig.

The Dancehall fiesta, which takes place today at City Sports Centre, was initially organised as a combination with the World Boxing Union (WBU) Championship tournament which has since been moved to December 22 at the same venue.

“I am here to dispel rumours that had put many dancehall enthusiasts in panic mode concerning the Sting dancehall extravaganza. City Sports Centre will be on fire tomorrow (today) despite the postponement of the WBU Championship tournament. Local boxers will still square up in the ring,” said Chimbodza.
An array of dancehall artistes in the form of Sniper Storm, Guspy Warrior, Freeman, Shinsoman, Dadza D and Killah T will take turns to clash each other in the dancehall music ring.

The concept of the show is just like the Jamaican Sting Festival. Artists are going to be paired by a means of a ballot where upcoming artists will have to pick a tag with a name of the artists to battle with.
